How to Install Android OS on Acer Netbook - Introduce Ice Cream Sandwich, the most recent rendition of Android, on your netbook. Whether you need to play with Googles versatile working framework or give new life to an overall tossed gadget, Android-x86 gives everybody an approach to introduce Android on Intel netbooks.
Its quick. Shockingly better: the most recent rendition of Android-x86 accompanies access to the Android Market, something just about difficult to set up on more seasoned Intel renditions of the product. This implies you can go for Android applications before you choose to purchase an Android gadget.
Hell, your netbook could wind up turning into your Android gadget.
I demonstrated to you generally accepted methods to introduce Chrome OS on unsupported machines, yet some of you griped that its minimal more than a program. Obviously, that is all Chrome OS should be, however I comprehend the dissatisfaction. Android, I think, is somewhat more energizing. With access to a great many applications its flexible, and its joining with the Google eco-framework is much deeper than that of Chrome OS.
Its not appallingly convoluted to introduce, particularly on the off chance that youve introduced some type of Linux previously. How about we stroll through the procedure, then quickly investigate Android on the netbook.
Step One: Download Androidx86
To begin, head to the Androidx86 task page. Youll discover the download here, yet verify you download the most recent form: 4.0, also called Ice Cream Sandwich.

There are a couple of distinctive renditions of 4.0 advertised. Get the form that best fits your netbook. Not certain what this is? Google your machines model alongside "Androidx86? and see what other individuals have had fortunes with. On the off chance that you claim an EEE PC like me, notwithstanding, youre in good fortune: everything works superbly with the "eeepc" IS
Step Two: Copy To A Flash Drive
Since you discovered the ISO record you need, now is the ideal time to compose it to a USB drive so you can boot from it. There are two principle programs for doing this: Unetbootin, which is cross stage, and Linux Live, which is just for Windows yet extremely direct.
Use whichever you favor; simply duplicate the substance of the ISO to a blaze drive. It doesnt have to be tremendous: 1 GB ought to do it.
Step Three: Install
Now that youve got your USB drive, its time to boot from it. Youll see this boot screen:

On the off chance that you simply need to go for Android, feel free to choose the Livecd mode. You wont have the capacity to spare any altering you do, obviously, however its a decent approach to perceive how well Android chips away at your framework.
On the off chance that youd rather get straight to introducing Android, feel free to pick the "Introduce" choice. Theres not a considerable measure of alternatives for double botting incorporated with the installer, so be cautioned: getting that working may take a few aptitudes on your part. See the Androidx86 establishment directions for more data. In the event that you couldnt care less about losing your current OS, however, establishment is straight-forward.
Optional: Install to SD Card
Theres an alternate route, obviously: you can introduce Android to a SD card. This wont influence whatever working framework you commonly use on your netbook yet gives you a chance to keep your applications and settings set up.
Youll require a blaze drive and a SD card to do this: the glimmer drive to introduce Android from and the SD card to introduce Android onto.
The procedure is basic: run the installer, yet select your SD card to introduce to rather than your hard drive. This wont influence your netbooks essential drive, providing for you a clean double boot environment.
Android on Your Netbook
So how can it function? Well. You can set up your home screen to look anyway you like, much the same as on a telephone or tablet:

You can also browse every app installed on your computer:

Numerous Google staples are incorporated, alongside various different utilities and diversions. The best part: Androidx86 now accompanies access to the Android Market. Not everything will work, yet I got my top choices applications working: Dropbox, Evernote, Wunderlist and Toggl. I even discovered a remote for XBMC that Ill definitely be expounding on later. With some assistance from Google Voice I even got SMS informing up and running!
Conclusion
Why attempt this? As a matter of first importance: in light of the fact that its fun. Without a doubt, its not the same as purchasing another Android tablet, yet breathing new life into a generally sit netbook is cool.
Id think about composing as a manual about this, if theres a group of people. Would you all be intrigued? Assuming this is the case, let me know in the remarks beneath. Additionally dont hesitate to tell me about any Android applications I ought to go for on my acer netbook.

Network RequirementsBefore connecting the machine to the network, make sure that configuration of the computer and access point or router is complete, and that the computer is connected to the network.
Wireless Connection
Before connecting the machine to the network, the computer needs to be connected to the network. Make sure that configuration of the computer and access point or router is complete

- The configuration, router functions, setup procedures and security settings of the network device vary depending on your system environment. For details,
- refer to your devices instruction manual or contact its manufacturer.
- In an office setup, consult your network administrator
- If you connect to a network that is not protected with security measures, there is a risk of disclosing data such as your personal information to a third party.
- If an error message appears or if you have trouble with the network connection, refer to the printed manual: Network Setup Troubleshooting.
- Place the machine and computer on the same network segment.
Software Installation
To use the machine by connecting it to a computer, software including the drivers needs to be copied (installed) to the computers hard disk. The installation process takes about 20 minutes. (The installation time varies depending on the computer environment or the number of application software to be installed.)
Important
- Log on as the administrator (or a member of the Administrators group).
- Quit all running applications before installation.
- Do not switch users during the installation process.
- Internet connection may be required during the installation. Connection fees may apply. Consult the internet service provider.
- It may be necessary to restart your computer during the installation process. Follow the on screen instructions and do not remove the Setup CD ROM during restarting. The installation resumes once your computer has restarted.
- If the firewall function of your security software is turned on, a warning message may appear that Canon software is attempting to access the network. If such a warning message appears, set the security software to always allow access.
- If you are installing your printer on your network for the first time, a step-by-step walk through of the wireless setup is built in to the installationroutine of the software that shipped with your Pixma.
Insert the Setup CD-ROM *that came with your printer into your CD-ROM drive and proceed through the easy to follow instructions. Youll be printing wirelessly in no time. Be sure to select Network Connection, then Wireless Connectionon the Connection Method Selection screens(1-1 and 1-2).

Continue to follow instructions until the Setup Procedure Selection screen(3-1)appears. This is shown on the next page.
The printer automatically searches for access points that support WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup)*.
- Unless you are absolutely sure your access point supports WPS and you are familiar with activating this on your access point, press the Stop button on the printers operation panel and click on Other Methods on the Setup Procedure Selection screen (screenshot shown below)*.
- If the Push Button Method is not shown on the printers operation panel(when no WPS access points have been detected), select Standard setup on the printers operation panel, then click Other Methods on the Setup Procedure Selection screen.
- If you selected the Push Button Method, follow any remaining instructions to complete setup.
- If you selected Other Methods, please continue to the next page for important information.

If you dont know your Access Point / Router name or SSID*, or the Passphrase or Network key for your wireless network, you can find this information during Standard setup using the Setup CD-ROM or the downloaded file (Mini Master Setup).
- The terms SSID and AccessPoint / Router refer to a name used to identify the specific Access Point or Router. "Passphrase and Network Key refer to a password required to prevent unauthorized access to communication.
Look for the Confirm the access point name or the Confirm the network key (automatic display) buttons during the setup procedure.

Clicking either of these buttons will give the needed information. On a Mac OS X system you may need to click Allow on one or more windows after clicking either of the above buttons. See example below of the Wireless Lan Setup Information window. (appearance varies depending on Operating System ).
Use the provided information when selecting the Access Point / Router and for entering the Network
Key (Steps 4-2 and 4-4 on the previous page).

MP Drivers and Canon IJ Network Tool are required for the printer to be able to print and scan and cannot be de-selected.
